Rack Protection

Pallet racks are most commonly made with cold-rolled steel. It’s very strong. It’s very durable. But it still needs protection?

Yes!

That’s because people are operating forklifts and other machinery around the racks- and we know humans make errors. In high-paced and high-density warehouse, material handlers are always on the move and bumps are bound to happen. Even in a low volume environment, worker can cause accidental damage to pallet racking.

Even minor damage to an upright can affect the integrity of the racks. That’s why it’s always highly recommended to protect the racks with items such as column protectors or end of aisle guards. These items will take the blunt of any damage and replacing them will be much easier and cost effective than replacing an upright.
